Video for the Fifth Week of Lent

Click here to watch a video to accompany the 'We Thirst For You, O Lord' insert that was included in the bulletin for the fifth week of Lent. We hope this deepens your Lenten devotions.

Lenten Regulations for Fasting and Abstinence
Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of abstinence from meat and also fast days, that is, limited to a single full meal. The other Fridays of the season of Lent are days of abstinence from meat. The law of abstinence binds all Catholics 14 years of age and older. The law of fasting binds all Catholics from their 18th birthday until their 59th birthday.

Bishop Joe Binzer & Others Speaking at Soup Supper this Lent

Make the 2018 Easter Season your most joyous and profoundly spiritual yet! Prepare your heart to truly receive Jesus’ resurrection blessings by attending some or all of the presentations at Little Flower Parish at the Soup Suppers on Wednesdays during Lent. The Soup Supper is at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. Click here for more information about the speakers.

Little Flower Lending Library
The Faith Formation Office will begin offering books and pamphlets for your spiritual reading. Every other month, there will be a theme to the materials selected. We will begin with the Lenten theme in keeping with the Liturgical season. We encourage you to look through the items on the right of the Kirby doors (as you leave) and choose a pamphlet or book to read, reflect upon and return.
Additional resources are available in the Religious Ed Office during regular office hours (Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m.-noon and 1-4:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m.-noon).

Our Vision and Mission

Vision Statement:
St. Therese Little Flower Parish is the sacramental presence of Jesus . . . the mind and heart, the hands and feet, the words and deeds . . . the incarnate and living Body of Christ for our own place and time.

Mission Statement:
We are a community of evangelizing disciples being transformed by the Gospel in order to transform our parish, our neighborhood and our world.

We will do this by cultivating faith formation, participating in spirit-filled worship, fostering stewardship, and reaching out in the name of Jesus to those in need.

Have you been coming to Mass or other activities at Little Flower, but are not actually a member? Are you concerned that “signing up” will require something of you that you are not yet ready for? For some folks, joining a parish can be a big deal. You don’t know if the community is a good fit for you. Or, you don’t know very many of the people, and would feel more comfortable if there were someone to tell you about what kind of community this is and how to fit in.

Do any of these realities describe your questions about becoming more invested in Little Flower Parish? If you would like to talk with someone about becoming a member, but don’t want to be pressured if it doesn’t feel right for you, contact the Parish Office at 541-5560 or
